Rec Services
Overview

The Office of Recreational Services is located in the Woodruff P.E. Center in the 208 office suite on the main (2nd) floor, and is a part of the Athletics & Recreation department in the Division of Campus Life. Rec. Services has been an integral part of Emory University for 125 years, offering the South's best Intramural and recreational programming. Beginning in 1880, we sponsored open recreation activities. Then, in 1891, we hosted the first Intramural competitions at Emory, followed shortly by the formation of the first Club Sport groups in 1893.

Recreational Services brings together all parts of the Emory community, providing Athletics For All, the motto of the Athletics & Recreation department. Our Intramural and Club Sport programs boast some of the largest memberships of any campus organizations and provide tremendous learning and leadership opportunities for students. Along with Club Sports and Intramural league sports & special events, the Fitness Emory program and the Emory Rock Climbing & Bouldering Arena allow Emory students and faculty, staff, affiliate and alumni members of the Woodruff P.E. Center to interact and recreate in fun, active environments.
